I recently copied some details of the complaints made by members of the public to the Shropshire Monitoring Officer for your information.
It can be seen that there has been a considerable increase in the number of complaints made against councils in both the full County and Bridgnorth as a Town Council.
However, the odds appear to be very much against a member of the public getting any backing from the County Monitoring Officer. BbNot one of fifteen complaints made against members of Bridgnorth Town Council was considered to be serious enough for action of any kind being taken against councillors during the last financial year. There were thirty eight county complaints for the same year and again not one was considered worthy of some action.
