IDrop News reported a Facebook data breach last Saturday with leaked information including names;phone numbers;location;birthdays; email addresses. FB had been breached before so this was technically this was old info leaked again. Apparently the leak was patched in 2019 says FB.

Facebook and Instagram collect 57% and 79% of your data anyway according to the service company pCloud This includes purchases/location/contact information/contacts/user content/search history/browsing history/identifiers/usage data/diagnostics/financial info/other data. Of this 79% data Instagram uses 62% for sharing for marketing purposes and Facebook shares 55% of the 57% it collects
So if you are using social media – and most of you are – don’t share personal data- use a separate email address for social media- use a stronger password – use a password manager
