The Chamber of Commerce have decided to go ahead with the Park & Ride project.
Park and Ride will start on Saturday April 11th 2015 on a circular route from the Tasley Auction House car park to Sainsbury’s and back again . Initially it will start with a 16 seater coach that will run 3 times an hour. It will start at 9.00am and finish at 4.00pm with the last pick up at Sainburys at 3.30pm approx. This will be for a trial period of six weeks.
There will be a nominal charge of £2.00 per car for the round trip. This will help to defray expenses.
This is a very basic service to ease the car parking congestion in the town. It must point out that there will be no toilet facilites at the car park or provision for wheel chair users.
