This is supposed to be one of the best biographies of Robert Maxwell. And I would agree
Robert Maxwell – A complex man, he escaped from Czechoslovakia as a teenager, changed his name numerous times , fought in WW2 , was awarded the Military Medal, became an MP, a successful businessman but eventually fell to earth and died at sea nearly 30 years ago.
It is a riveting read. John Preston also wrote The Dig – now on Netflix . And that’s a good one as well ! Book price is £18.99 but the kindle version is £9.99
